The Playforge Acquired By Saban Brands

San Mateo-based mobile game developers The Playforge has been acquired by Saban Brands, the investment arm of media mogul Haim Saban. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The Playforge develops the popular iOS game Zombie Farm, and was founded by Vince McDonnell and Susan Salvador. Saban owns the Power Rangers brand and lifestyle brand Paul Frank, in additional to television and other properties. Saban said The Playforge will remain in San Mateo and continue to issue games under its own brand.
