Vicarious Sees $15M For AI Technology
Union City-based Vicarious, a developer of artificial intelligence software, said today that it has raised $15M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Good Ventures, the nonprofit investment firm founded by Dustin Moskovitz, as well as Founders Fund, Open Field Capital, Steve Brown, and Zarco Investment Group. Vicarious is developing artificial intelligence software which can interpret the content of photos and videos, in a way similar to humans. The company said it is applying its technology in the areas of robotics, medical image analysis, image and video search, and many other fields. More information »
