Spreecast Raises $7M For Social Video Streaming
San Francisco-based Spreecast, which operates an online service which allows users to broadcast live video and interact with others, said Friday morning that it has raised $7M in a Series A funding round. The round came from Meakem Becker Venture Capital, GGV Capital and MentorTech Ventures, along with Stan Shuman (Allen & Company), Gordon Crawford (Capital Research Global Investors), Sandy Robertson (Robertson Stephens and Francisco Partners), and Edward W. Scott, Jr. (BEA Systems). Spreecast is headed by Jeff Fluhr, and lets people interact face-to-face via webcams. More information »
