Nanosys Raises $15M
Palo Alto-based Nanosys, a developer of advanced materials used in liquid crystal displays, said today that it has raised $15M in a sixth round of fudning. Source of the funding was not disclosed. The firm said the round will go towards expanding its quantum dot manufacturing capabilities; the firm's materials are used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs), which the company said "vastly improves" color performance and efficiency in those LCDs.
