Sungevity Gains $125M More
Oakland-based residential solar power firm Sungevity, which offers up a service to help residential customers specify and install their own solar power systems, said Wednesday that it has raised $125M more in funding. The funding included $40M in equity from Brightpath Capital Partners, home improvement retailer Lowe's, Vision Ridge Partners, Craton Equity Partners and Eastern Sun Capital Partners. The company also said it receive d$85M in new project financing from Energy Capital partners and an un-named, leading commercial bank. The firm said the new project funding will go towards supporting projects in the nine states it currently services. Sungevity is led by Andrew Birch. More information »
