SideCar Buys Heyride

San Francisco-based SideCar said this week that it has acquired Heyride, the developer of a mobile ridesharing application, based in Austin. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. SideCar said the buy will extend its community and operations to Austin, ahead of SXSSW. SideCar is venture backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Google Ventures, SV Angel, Lerer Ventures, Huron River Ventures, and Spring Ventures.
