Yahoo! Buys Jybe, Founded By Former Yahoos

Yahoo announced this morning that it has acquired Jybe, the developer of personalized recommendations software, which had been founded by a team of former Yahoo employees. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Jybe was founded by Arnab Bhattacharjee, former VP of Yahoo's own Search Technology area, along with three other Yahoo employees. Yahoo said it hires back all five of Jybe's employees--Bhattacharjee, Tim Converse, Christian Kunz, Sameer Paranjpye, and Karthik Krishnamurthy, all former Yahoo employees--as part of the acquisition.
