Goodreads Acquired By Amazon.com

San Francisco-based Goodreads, which operates an online community for book readers, and features a large database of book reviews, has been acquired by Amazon.com, Amazon announced Thursday afternoon. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Goodreads had been backed by True Ventures, along with angel investors Mike Jones, James Currier, Michael Birch, Chris Michel, and Stan Chudnovsky.
