Midokura Gets $17.3M For Network Virtualization Products

San Francisco-based Midokura, a developer of network virtualization products, said this morning that it has raised $17.3M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), and also included DOCOMO Innovations and Innovation Ventures Fund Investment (NEC Group). The firm said the funds will go towards its product and go-to-market. The firm named Dan Mihai Dumitriu as its CEO as part of the funding; co-founder Tatsuya Kato becomes Chairman of the company.
