Tiger Global Purchases $50M Of Automattic In Secondary
Automattic, the San Francisco firm behind the popular WordPress blogging services and software, said that Tiger Global has purchased $50M in a secondary transaction. The investment move was announced by Matt Mullenweg, the founder of WordPress, on his personal blog. Mullenweg said the acquisition came from its existing investors and employees, and is the largest secondary transaction in its stock so far.
