Thumbtack Pins Down $12.5M For Local Services Quotes
San Francisco-based Thumbtack, which helps people get custom quotes for local services, has raised $12.5M in a funding, the firm said this morning. The funding came from Sequoia Capital, along with Javelin Venture Partners and MHS Capital. Byron Schreier from Sequoia joins the company's board with the funding. Thumbtack is looking to make it easier for people to find local services, such as a plumber, via the Internet. More information »
