Skimlinks Acquires InvisibleHand

Skimlinks, which develops software to help web publishers monetize product links on their site to include affiliate links, said Friday that it has acquired InvisibleHand, a developer of product matching and pricing technology. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the deal, Skimlinks said that London-based media technology and consumer investment firm Forward Internet Group--an investor in InvisibleHand--will gain a minority equity stake in Skimlinks. Skimlinks has offices in San Francisco, but is based in London. Skimlinks' software automatically searches through content published by companies and inserts the appropriate affiliate or other monetization links when products are mentioned.
