VMware Buys Desktone

Palo Alto-based VMware said Tuesday that it has acquired virtual desktop developer Desktone. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Desktone's software helps deliver Windows virtual desktops to users from the cloud. VMware said it expects the acquisition to be immaterial to its financial results.
