Homejoy Gets $38M To Expand Techie Home Cleaning Service
San Francisco-based Homejoy, the tech-enabled marketplace for home cleaning services, said Thursday morning that it has raised $38M more to expand its services, in a combination of both a Series A and Series B funding. The startup--led by siblings Adora and Aaron Cheung--said that Google Ventures led the Series A investment, and also participated in the Series B, which added Redpoint Ventures, Max Levchin, First Round Capital, Oliver Jung, Mike Hirshland, and others. HomeJoy said it now is serving 31 cities across the United States and Canada with its service, which connects people up to home cleaning services via Internet- and mobile-enabled apps.
