Crowdtilt Gets $23M
San Francisco-based Crowdtilt, a developer of a crowdfunding and group payment platform, said today that it has raised $23M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, and also included SV Angel, Sean Parker, Matt Mullenweg, Oliver Jung, DCM, Felicis Ventures, Naval Ravikant, Alexis Ohanian, Elad Gil, and others. The startup said the funding will go to expand its team and launch internationally. THe company's crowdfunding site is focusing on small group activities, gifts, parties, as well as larger projects like community projects, disaster relief, or large crowdfunded projects.
