Trusper Lands $6.17M For Mobile Advice Sharing

Los Altos-based Trusper, a developer of mobile apps which let people share tips on daily life with their friends and family, has raised $6.17M in a Series A funding, and emerged from stealth. According to Trusper, the funding was led by DCM, and also included Charles Schwab, Bob Gunderson, Mark Thompson, and many other angel investors. Trusper's apps--which run on iPhone and Android--lets people share valuable tips on daily activities, via photos, videos, and text. The apps currently are focused on beauty and fitness, but is looking to expand to other topic areas. The startup is led by Jack Jia. Jia was the founding CEO of Baynote, and also was the CTO of Interwoven. More information »
