Hello Vino Buys Corkbin

San Francisco-based Hello Vino, which develops mobile apps that provide wine recommendations, said last week that it has acquired Corkbin, the developer of a social networking app for wine enthusiasts. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Hello Vino said the buy will help "add an important social dimension" to its wine recommendation engine. Corkbin was founded by Catherine Liao, who will join Hello Vina as Director, Special Projects.
