Aquantia Connects With $16M For Gigabit Ethernet Chips
Milpitas-based Aquantia, which develops physical layer ICs used for high speed Ethernet networks, said today that it has raised $16M in a Series G financing round. The round was led by FPGA maker Xilinx, and also included existing investors. Aquantia's chipsets are being used for 10Gigabit Ethernet, particularly with 10GE over Copper (10GBASE-T). Aquantia develops low-power, 28nm Ethernet ICs for the 10Gigabit Ethernet market. The company's prior backers include Greylock Partners, Lightspeed Ventures, LSI, New Enterprise Associates, Pinnacle Ventures, RUSNANO, and VentureTech Alliance. More information »
