QBotix Gets $12M For Solar Panel Robots
Menlo Park-based QBotix, a developer of robots used for providing sun tracking to solar panel farms, has raised $12M in a Series B funding round, the company said this week. The company said the funding came from E.ON and Iberdrola (Inversiones Financieras Perseo, S.L.), along with New Enterprise Associates, Firelake Capital Management and Draper Nexus. QBotix makes solar trackers which are used to point solar panels in the direction of the sun for utility-scale and commercial solar panel installations, helping to eke out more output from those panels More information »
