Airware Takes Off With $25M Funding For Drone Software
San Francisco-based Airware, which is developing software for the commercial drone industry, has raised $25M in a funding round. The funding was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included First Round Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. Airware said the funding will go towards hiring and product development. The company is led by Jonathan Downey, who got his start working on unmanned aerial vehicles at MIT.
