Kurbo Finds $5.8M In Funding To Fight Childhood Obesity
San Francisco- and Palo Alto-based Kurbo Health, which develops a mobile app specifically aimed at reducing childhood obesity, has raised a $5.8M funding round. According to the startup, the funding came from Signia Venture Partners, as well as Data Collective, Bessemer Venture Partners, Promus Ventures, Susan Wojcicki, and Greg Badros (formerly of Facebook). Kurbo Health develops mobile apps which help coach obese children to help them lose weight, tracking what they eat, games, challenges, videos, and more.
