ChangeTip Gets $3.5M For Bitcoin Tipping
San Francisco-based ChangeTip, the developer of a social media-focused social payments service which lets users tip content creators via Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, GitHub, and other social sites, has raised $3.5M in a seed funding. According to ChangeTip, the new funding was led by Pantera Capital, and also included Bold Start Ventures, DCG, CryptoCurrency Partners, 500 Startups, and others. ChangeTip, which is led by Nick Sullivan, lets users tip as little as $0.01 to anyone via social media, with the aim of enabling tipping online publications, musicians, actors, writers, musicians, along with paying friends and family. The company's service is directly enabled via Bitcoin.
