SunEdison Raises $117M Solar Fund

Belmont-based solar energy systes manufacturer SunEdison said today that it has closed on a new, $117m solar fund, to help fund distributed solar generation projects. SunEdison said the fund came from Barclays and Citi, and brings its total funding for distributed general projects to $290M from those investors. SunEdison said the fund will go to finance a portfolio of distributed generation projects in 12 states across the West Coast, mid-Atlantic, New England, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
