Riverbed Acquired For $3.6 Bil‭lion

San Francisco-based wide area networking and application performance management equipment developer Riverbed has been acquired for approximately $3.6 billion, by private equity firm Thoma Bravo and Teachers' Private Capital. The two private equity investors agreed to pay $21.00 per share in cash, or approximately $3.6 billion, for Riverbed. The deal comes after a long effort by Riverbed to find a private equity investor to take the company private.
