Google Invests In SpaceX In $1 Billion Round

Google has made a big investment into rocket and spaceship developer SpaceX as part of a $1 billion round in SpaceX, alongside Fidelity Investments. Size of Google's share of the funding--which gives Google and Fidelity just under 10 percent of SpaceX--were not announced. Other investors in the big funding round for Los Angeles-based SpaceX were Founders Fund, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Valor Equity Partners and Capricorn.
