Ford Opens Research Center For Self-Driving Cars

Automaker Ford said Thursday that it has opened up a new, research center in Palo Alto, to work on development of technology for autonomous vehicles, connectivity, mobility, big data, and more. Ford said the new research center is being developed with Stanford, and will be headed by Dragos Maciuca. Maciuca is from Apple. Ford said it expects to have 125 researchers, engineers, and scientists in Stanford Research Park by the end of the year.
