Shuddle Scores $9.6M For On-Demand, Family Ride Service
San Francisco-based Shuddle, a new, ridesharing service aiming at families, said Wednesday that it has raised $9.6M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by RRE Ventures, and also included Comcast Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, Accel Partners and angels. Unlike other ridesharing services, Shuddle said it background checks all of its drivers, who must have prior child care experience, and also provides special insurance required for transporting minors. Shuddle is led by Nick Allen. The company says it has now raised over $12M in funding. More information »
