Playbook HR Acquired By Intuit

San Francisco-based Playbook HR, a developer of software for managing independent workforce marketplaces, has been acquired by Intuit. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Intuit said it will use the acquisition to help bolster its QuickBooks Online Self Employed software. Playbook HR's develops on-demand marketplace software to manage the hiring, on-boarding, and compliance of independent contractors.
