Lux Capital Raises $350M Fund
Menlo Park-based investor Lux Capital> said Thursday that it has closed on a new, $350M fund, Lux Ventures IV. Lux said the new fund will invest in early-stage, futuristic science and technology ventures. The new fund boosts the firm's amount of capital under management to $700M. Lux said the fund was oversubscribed from an earlier, initial target of $245M. Lux Capital invests in science-based startups, with such portfolio firms as Kymeta, Shapeways, Matterport, Kurion, and many others.
