EBR Systems Finds $20M For Cardiac Technology
Sunnyvale-based EBR Systems, which is developing wireless cardiac pacing system for treating heart failure, has raised $20M in a funding round, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Emergent Medical Partners, and also included Split Rock Partners, SV Life Sciences, Delphi Ventures and St. Paul Venture Capital. Angels, including Emergent's Thomas Fogarty and Stephen Mahle (former president of Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management) also participated. EBR's technology is aimed at using wireless energy transmission--rather than more invasive wires--for cardiac pacemakers. More information »
