Twist Bioscience Gets $37M

San Francisco-based Twist Bioscience said this morning that it has raised $37M in a Series C financing round, led by Illumina. The funding also included Fidelity Management and Research Company and Foresite Capital Management , Nick and Joby Pritzker via Tao Invest, as wel as ARCH Venture Partners, Paladin Capital Group, Yuri Milner, and others. Twist Bioscience is developing a semiconductor-based platform for synthetic DNA manufacturing, and is led by Emily Leproust. The company says it has now raised a total of $82.1M. More information »
