Intel Launches New $125M Fund For Women, Minorities
Responding to the loud chorus of criticism over the lack of women and minorities in the technology industry, Intel said Tuesday that it has launched a new, $125M investment fund, specifically to bolster representation of women and underrepresented minorities in the technology industry. Intel said the investments, which will come via Intel Capital, will complement an existing, $300M initiative which it launched in January to help bolster women and minorities in the U.S. workforce. The new Intel Capital Diversity Fund said it has already made four investments, in San Francisco-based Brit + Co; Miami-based CareCloud; San Francisco-based Mark One; and Salt Lake City-based Venafi.
