HackerRank Finds $7.5M Funding From Recruit Holdings

Mountain View-based HackerRank, a startup which offers up online coding and software challenges to help developers show off and prove their coding skills, has raised $7.5M in a funding from Japanese company Recruit Holdings. The funding comes from Recruit's HR Technology Fund. HackerRank--which is owned by InterviewStreet Inc.--has an online service which helps human resources professionals figure out which software developers really know how to develop code, in a more automated fashion. HackerRank is led by Vivak Ravisankar.
