Skillz Finds $15M For E-Sports Competitions
San Francisco-based Skillz, a startup which is enabling video game players to compete, head-to-head, on mobile games, said it has raised $15M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Wildcat Capital Management, and also included The Kraft Group, owners of the New England Patriots and Marc Lasry, co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks. Skillz lets mobile game players compete against each other to win real money for the best score on a variety of games. Skillz offers up its service to mobile game developers. Andrew Paradise is the founder and CEO of Skillz.
