RelayRides Becomes Turo, Raises $47M

San Francisco-based RelayRides, the peer-to-per car rental marketplace, has raised $47M in a Series C funding, and renamed itself to Turo. The funding round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, along with August apital, Canaan Partners, Google Ventures, Shasta Ventures, and Trinity Ventures. Turo is led by Andre Haddad. Turo sent a coupon code for $50 off their next booking to all of its current members as part of the funding announcement. More information »
