Hivemapper Picks Up $2.9M For 3D, Drone Navigation Maps

Burlingame, California-based HiveMapper, a startup developing 3D maps of buildings and drone no-fly drones to help unmanned drones navigate their way around cities, has raised $2.9M in a funding round. The seed funding led by Spark Capital. Hivemapper says it is developing a 3D map of man-made structures, to help drones avoid collissions with buildings and structures.
