NetApp Acquires Solidfire For $870M
Sunnyvale-based storage systems manufacturer NetApp has acquired flash storage startup SolidFire, in a deal worth $870M in cash, according to the two companies Monday. SolidFire is a developer of all-flash, data storage products for the enterprise data center market. SolidFire was based in Boulder, Colorado, and had raised $150M from such backers as Greenspring Associates, New Enterprise Associates, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Samsung Ventures, and Valhalla Partners.
