Brocade Acquires Ruckus Wireless For $1.5 Billion
San Jose-based Brocade, in its second acquisition in as many weeks, said this morning that it is buying Ruckus Wireless, in a deal worth $1.2 billion. Ruckus Wireless is a developer of wireless networking products. Brocade said it will pay $6.45 in cash, and 0.75 shares of Brocade common stock for Ruckus Wireless--or approximately $1.5 billion, worth $1.2 billion after accounting for cash at Ruckus. Brocade just acquired IT software company StackStorm last week.
