Luka Lands $4.42M For AI Bot Technology
San Francisco-based Luka, a developer of artificial intelligence software being used for smart personal assistance "bots", has raised $4.42M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Sherpa Capital, and also included Y Combinator, Ludlow Ventures and Justin Waldron, the co-founder of Zynga. Luka develops an iOS app which lets users make dinner reservations, get news updates, play games, and more via its conversation-based interface. Scott Stanford of Sherpa Capital joins the company's board, with Brian Pham of Sherpa joins as an Observor. Luka was founded by Eugenia Kuyda and Philipp Dudchuk. More information »
