Index Finds $19M More
San Francisco-based Index, which develops software to help bricks-and-mortar retailers gain the same kind of analytics on their promotions and marketing that e-commerce providers have online, has raised $19M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by General Catalyst Partners, and also included Datalogix founder Rob Gierkink. Index was co-founded by Jonathan Wall and Marc Freed-Finnegan, two veterans of Google, who worked on Google Wallet. Gierkink joins Index's board, as does General Catalyst's David Fialkow.
