3Scan Gets $14M
San Francisco-based 3Scan, a developer of systems and software which use robotic microscope and computer vision to automate pathology and diagnosis of diseased tissue, has raised $14M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Lux Capital and Data Collective, and also included Dolby Family Ventures, investors OS Fund, Comet Labs and Breakout Ventures, along with the investment arm of an un-named U.S. research hospital. 3Scan, led by Todd Huffman, said the funding will go towards expansion in the pre-clinical drug discovery market, plus its product.
