Google Buys Apigee For $625M
Mountain View-based Google announced on Thursday that it is acquiring San Francisco-based Apigee, which develops application programming interface (API) management tools. Google said it will pay $17.40 per share, or approximately $625M, for Apigee, whose customers include Walgreens, AT&T, Bechtel, Burberry, First Data and Live Nation. Apigee had its IPO in April of last year.
