SolarCity Raises Another $305M In Project FInancing

San Mateo-based SolarCity said this morning that it has raised $305M in a second, cash equity funding. The funding was led by Quantum Strategic Partners Ltd., and advised by Soros Fund Management LLC. The funding goes towards investment in a portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial solar projects. SolarCity said the funding backs a portfolio of projects representing 230 megawatts of solar generation capacity.
