Prynt Sees $7M
San Francisco-based Prynt, which develops a smartphone accessory which allows users to instantly print out photos from their phone, disclosed on Tuesday that it has raised $7M in a Series A funding. The funding came from GGV Capital. Prynt's accessory attaches to a smartphone, and instantly prints out pictures, and also included augmented reality features for those pictures. Prynt was founded by Clement Perrot and David Zhang, who founded the startup in Paris but moved to San Francisco to grow the business. The company's hardware and software essentially turns a smartphone into a modern equivalent of a instant Polaroid camera.
