Hyphenate Gets $13.5M For Mobile Chat Infrastructure
San Francisco-based Hyphenate, a developer of cloud-based software for embedded instant messaging and chat into apps, has raised $13.5M in a funding round. The funding was led by Matrix Partners China. The company says it previously raised funding from Sequoia and SIG. Hyphenate develops a platform specifically to add mobile messaging features across mobile apps. The company says it is a subsidiary of Chinese company Easemob Technologies.
