Grail Nears $1 Billion In Series B
Menlo Park-based GRAIL, a startup that is developing blood testing technology for early stage cancer detection, is expecting to close a $1 billion, Series B funding, according to founding investor Illumina. Grail, which raised $100 million in Series A financing in 2016, from Illumina, ARCH Venture Partners, Bezos Expeditions, Bill Gates, Sutter Hill Ventures, and GV (formerly Google Ventures), said the private placement agent for the funding is Goldman Sachs.
