Malwarebytes Buys Saferbytes

Santa Clara-based malware prevention and removal software developer Malwarebytes said this morning that it has acquired Saferbytes a developer of anti-malware, anti-exploit, anti-rootkit, cloud AV,and other technology. Malwarebytes said the acquisition of the Italian cybersecurity firm will help it enhance its threat detection, removal and remediation capabilities. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Saferbytes was founded in 2012, and was based in Perugia, Italy.
