Meltwater Picks Up Wrapidity
San Francisco-based Meltwater, a developer of social media and new monitoring tools for brands, announced today that it has acquired Wrapidity, an artificial intelligence software that was originally spun out of Oxford University. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. UK-based Wrapidity's software is used for extracted unstructured data from web content. The companies said that underlying technology will help Meltwater to improve and scale its analytics software, and came after Meltwater evaluated over 20 different companies in the space.
