Drivemode Gets $6.5M In Series A Funding To Connect Smartphones, Driving
San Francisco-based Drivemode, a developer of products which makes smartphones a part of the driving experience, without causing distracted driving, has raised $6.5M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Panasonic Corporation, and also included Miyako Capital, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Venture Capital, and Innovative Venture Fund Investment. Miyako Capital's Sunny Sugaya joins the company's board with the funding. Drivemode said the funds will go to accelerate new product development and expand its global team.
