Viz Sees $7.5M In Seed Funding To Apply AI To Stroke Diagnosis

San Francisco-based Viz, a developer of artificial intelligence software to help in emergency treatment of stroke, has raised $7.5M in a seed funding. The funding was led by DHVC (Danhua Capital) and Eric Schmidt's Innovation Endeavors and also included Jerry Yang's AME Cloud Ventures. The company said it is developing artificial intelligence software which uses medical imaging to better treat stroke patients. The company's founders are Chris Mansi (neurosurgeon and Stanford MBA); David Golan, Ph.D. (Stanford postdoc); and Manoj Ramachandran (orthopedic surgeon). More information »
